When I called Brandon, the first question I asked him was, “When you imagined your picture on the walls of your company, what did you see?”  One of the coolest things I get to do as a photographer is shoot portraits of the highest performers at a San Francisco company founded by a couple of classmates.  These portraits are meant to capture both the city of San Francisco and the personality of the award-winning subjects.  Beyond that…the canvas is blank, and we are free to explore.  Brandon saw himself on the field at Candlestick in its final year.  So at 8am on a recent Tuesday morning…we made it happen!  He was shocked.  And so was I.

Even before they were the Doroguskers, I loved the Doroguskers!  I think this year’s holiday shoot may have been even more fun for me than for them.  Either way, we ALL loved the result.

Dana you are an artist. You truly capture the soul of the subject. Thank you.

One of the great unforeseen benefits of Serene’s blog, What to Wear Running, is that she gets to try out and review running gear.  Puma was gracious enough to ask her to test drive their latest, so we took advantage of some perfect weather and did a run/shoot/review in the foothills.  What else would we do on a Saturday afternoon?  Puma also very generously included a full outfit and shoes for me.  The shoes, Puma Faas 300’s, are the absolute lightest things that I’ve ever worn.  3.5 ounces each.  Ridiculous.  And trust me when I say that my gear is even more colorful (and coordinated) than hers, but you’ll have to check out her blog to see it in all its glory.
