Daddy & Me Photo Contest

In honor of Father’s Day, Red Tricycle is sponsoring a photo contest called Daddy&Me.  One of my clients submitted an image from a shoot I did with them from the holiday season.  What do you know?!  It was chosen as a finalist.  Take a spin by the site to see this image and the other finalists.  And feel free to vote your heart;-).

The winner should be announced within the next week.   Thanks, Jennifer!

Daddy’s Little Girl

I love this moment.  I relate.  This moment reminds me of my first day of kindergarten, when I watched through teary eyes as my sister was walked across the courtyard to a DIFFERENT classroom.  It reminds me of the fact that as a toddler I hated to be touched by anyone except my mother.  It reminds me of the day my dad and I went to buy my first baseball mitt when I was 5 years old.  It was a Jim “Catfish” Hunter model, and we played catch that night until it was almost too dark to see the ball.  I’m thankful that I can remember the times when my family was all I wanted and could do no wrong.  That kind of comfort just can’t be matched.

Those eyes – and the reflection of the good light in them. Beautiful image!
